Capture the Spirit of Scotland
House of Elliot is thrilled to be working with two super Scottish business women on a new project to capture the hearts of our Scottish and American Brides.
Lorna Tate designer and wedding dress makerhttp://www.weddingdressmakerscotland.co.uk/ and Claire Watson from http://www.clairewatson.co.uk/ who is project managing the photoshoot are getting together today -8th June to discuss the dress design and the location of the shoot.
This will be the first time that both Lorna and Claire will see the Highland Wedding boots in the flesh and the various tartans that we are proposing.
We have had a good feedback from here in England and America from our Facebook followers. As you may be aware from our previous post, House of Elliot has secured an Exclusive contract with www.advantagebridal.com May this year and becasue of the strong ties with America and Scotland we are praying for a prosperous outcome for all four business's during these challenging times.

Sandy Keller is such a lovely CEO to work with and her staff are super friendly.Negotiations started end of April early May and a substantial order was placed in preparation for their Wedding Fairs that are coming up across the various states. Had an interesting email from a Canadian bride .........
"When I first started searching for wedding shoes I couldn't believe how hard it was to find lace shoes, until clicking to your site of course. I'm from a small city in Canada and it's just a dream to actually go to England but somehow just owning a pair of shoes from there just makes the feeling better. I'm getting married August 17th of 2013 and these shoes will just make it all the more special!"

With all the new technologies and platforms emerging at the moment, Gemma's aim is to present information to you to get you thinking so you can get the best out of these – whatever the best might happen to be for you. We agreed that House of Elliot benefits from advertising more on Twtitter than facebook as an example.

wedding boots and shoes - drop shipping!
Drop Shipping
Since our photo shoot, we have been incredibly busy introducing House of Elliot to 'drop shipping' something we would highly recommend. Initially we send out a blanket email to our lovely retailers asking them if they would like to become a drop shipper or an online seller. The reason for the positive response has to be the fact that no stock has to be carried. We are currently working with ten Retailers
Information that shines a light on social Media
Some of those ten Retailers that have joined the team have opened up a shop on their facebook page. During this process, we found a Social Media Savvy named Gemma Thompson http://socialmediaillumination.co.uk/ . We learned so much from her video tutorials which are FREE!! explaining some simple but effective ways of improving your new timeline Facebook Page.
We have agreed to meet with Gemma Friday 23rd to discuss how House of Elliot can better serve their 'drop shippers' and those who are advertising our boots/shoes through Facebook.We aim to be of great support to our stockists and drop shippers demonstrating various ways to catch the eye of the shopper. Gemma is going to put together some video trutorials which will be provided for FREE through House of Elliot.

Suffolk Newtwork invited House of Elliot along to a SEO workshop for wedding vendors, this ever popular event was well attended and the talk given by Tony Blacker was truly impressive. Tony was intensely passionate about this subject and gave us all some pretty impressive tips. We aim to have Tony on our team at some point in the year http://www.flosee.co.uk/

Because of our affiliation with Operation Justice http://www.xpmissions.com/cambodia_operation_justice.html We have been negotiating some air time with Revelation TV which is a Christian Television Broadcasting Channel.
