An Introduction to House of Elliot

As I walked towards Kim’s house, I was filled with anticipation and nerves. Not nervous to meet the Managing Director again (we’d previously spent some time together over the Christmas period, and had instantly hit it off) but more about putting all that I'd learnt as a journalist into practice. After graduating last summer, this internship with House of Elliot was going to be the first time I would be given an opportunity to demonstrate my skills as a Public Relations (PR) Manager.

On entering Kim’s home, I instantly felt relaxed. She greeted me with a warm hug and asked if I wanted a hot drink. Her welcoming personality filled every inch of the house. As a proud and active Christian, Kim surrounded herself with those aspects of her faith that are really important to her. It was lovely and refreshing to see her faith running so deeply there, and it certainly made for a comforting environment.

We went through the prepared contract, and I was given the official role of PR Manager for House of Elliot. I was thrilled to be able to contribute my creative thinking to the position. We agreed an action plan to determine ways to promote this unique product globally.

Kim's attention to detail is not only reflected in her website and her home but also in the way she meticulously wraps each pair of boots. I look forward to working under a hard-working team at House of Elliot, and aim to promote the company’s profile, not for the least the unique products House Of Elliot offers, but for the bigger vision behind the boots. I would encourage you to get involved and make the dream a reality!
Thank you for making a difference.
